If I am receiving large consistent sums of money from Qatar that is completely legal, what do I need to do to make sure it is legitimate?

It is impossible to advise you without knowing significntly more about the payment and how it is transmitted, among other things.  

If this was part of some unsolicited offer you received by email or onine, it is most likely part of a fraudulent scheme and you take great risk accepting any type of payment. 

Nothing comes without a cost and unsolicited offers almost always include significnat Danger.
