If I am 15 and someone who I am dating is turning 18, is it illegal/unlawful for us to engage in sexual acts when they turn18?

We have been dating for a month but have not engaged in any sexual activity yet. We started dating while that person was still a minor.

In your state, once your significant other turns 18, if he or she has sex with you while you are 15, that is against the law-in fact, it is a felony, which means that your significant other could potentially face over a year in jail.
