If a ticket for a DUI lists inaccurate information, does this make the ticket invalid?

The license plate number is completely wrong, not a single letter or number match. Also, it lists the car as a 4 door on the ticket when the car is a 2 door coupe and clearly states so on the registration.

If the ticket of the driving under the influence of alcohol or a controlled substance that you received contains inaccurate information as to the vehicle's license plate number and other matters, it does not invalidate the citation that you received. However, it may have an impact upon the credibility of the arresting officer as to the claims against you.

I recommend that you consult with a criminal defense attorney regarding the charges against you given the fact that a conviction for driving under the influence of alcohol could result in jail time for you.

Good luck.
