What are my rights if I was given a steroid shot about 3 months ago for bronchitis and now have atrophy where it was administered?

I went to my doctor last week and he kept apologizing, saying that it can happen, but that he’d never seen it. Can I file a lawsuit for medical malpractice against their malpractice insurance? It was negligence on the nurse’s part.

It is not necessary medical negligence or malpractice.  You would have to prove specific negligence on the part of the nurse or doctor like the shot was given in the wrong location and that it is not a side effect that could happen. Consider consulting with a lawyer about probability of success.
