If I filed a Chapter 7 but a month before I had garninshments taken out of my paycheck, is there any way to get the garnished money back?

Although in theory you probably can; in realsity it will probably be very difficult to do.  Make sure that going forward your employer is advised that you have listed the debt in your bankruptcy in hopes to extinguish it and that a stay is in effect regardong the matter.  Good luck.
