If I received a court summons from a debt collector and called and set up a payment plan, should I still go to my court date?

To be on the safe side I would attend the court hearing even though you seemingly have an agreed payment plan with the debt collection agency as to a debt owed. Make sure that you have a written and signed agreement with the debt collection company setting forth how much is owed by you and the monthly payment and due date.
