If I have a online website and want to sell a manufacturer’s products, can I copy the product’s images/description directly from its website and paste it into mine?

Well, here is a case where "asking for forgiveness is better than asking for permission" is NOT true. This is a classic example where you will simply want to ask for written permisison to use the images on your website. The penalties for copyright infringement are significant.
