I have a car at a tow company, what to do if I can’t afford the bill and the car isn’t worth that much?

car was towed while i was at work fri afternoon unjustly for overnite pking? By
the time I left work Came out the towing co was closed for wkend. I filed the
car liability release to their co. on monday
Is that enough for them to never file a lien or collections vs me? I would’ve
went down given them the title but I’m afraid the more info I give them about
me my car insurance,etc. the more damage they can do to me??? Plz help it’s
been a week. Thank u

You are liable or responsible for all costs or charges, including towing and storage. Giving up the car doesn't absolve you of that liability: if the car is auctioned and brings in less than the amount owed, while they could choose to forget out or forgive the  balance, they are not required to do so; they could chjoose to sue you for any unpaid balance and pursue collections against you.
