What to do if I had a police report filed against me yesterday for theft of $2000 from my employer?

I haven’t been arrested as of yet. I owned up to it and it is a first offense.

Given the fact that you are under investigation for theft of your employer (embezzlement of $2,000), such is a felony where if convicted you could be jailed. As such, I suggest that you immediately consult with a criminal defense attorney to assist you in the matter.
