If I got married to an American citizen and received date for immigration hearing in but it is 4 years from now, can I still apply for a green card?

What hearing was scheduled 4 years from now?  WHat was your immigration status prior to getting married to the US citizen?  Were you in removal proceedings?  You have to clarify the history of your immigration case to get more comprehensive answer.
