If I got a promotion 6 weeks ago and haven’t got a pay raise, are they required to pay me back wages from the date of promotion when they finally do tell me what I am supposed to make?

Ordinarily when an employee is given a raise the raise ordinarily starts from the day the news if given to the employee as to the pay increase. If you have not received your pay raise yet, you need to consult with the human resources department at work or your immediate supervisor about the situation.
