What can happen if I gave my grandson my credit card information and approval to use it online but he spent more than I knew he was going to on something I didn’t know about ?

I’m now filing for bankruptcy because I cannot pay all of it back. I don’t want him to go to jail but is it still a possibility because he was the one that used it online even though I gave him all of the information and approval to use it?

It is an unfortunate situation for sure but unless you are the one to report it as an illegal use of the card or fraud he should not be even questioned about it by the police or prosecutor.  You would have to be the complaining witness. But I would not let him get away with it scott free.  He needs to pay you back.  Try and find a way to enforce that. Good luck.
