If I am sponsoring my girlfriend and her daughter for a green card upon our marriage, in event of divorce will I have legal obligations to her daughter?

So long as you do not legally adopt your girlfriend's child where there is a court order of adoption as to the minor, you would not have any legal obligation to the minor child in the event that you divorce her mother.
