If I am renting my home in the US but living in a foreign country, am I liable for my tenant growing marijuana without my knowledge or consent?

A friend just informed me that there is no doubt my tenant is growing marijuana in our home property (odor, exhaust fan, heating lights, etc.).

That could end up being a huge problem.  Besides the fact that you do know, if your friend was questioned, he may tell them that he told you.  Moving on, the problem in these types of cases, for you, is when the government ceases everything, including your property.  You may end up getting it back, but do you really need the hassel.

Sounds, like you need to evict the tenant. It is not worth the risk.

Hope this helps.
