If I am going to be leaving my place of employment and am owed $1k in commission, can they withhold this since I’m leaving?

All the accounts that I have are on payment plans to be paid in full and I personally sold to all the accounts.

If you will soon be terminating your employment at your place of work and you have earned $1,000 in commissions, your employer under the laws of all states in this country is required to pay you this $1,000 amount within so many days after you leave your place of employment for good.
