What right do I have to demand my pay in a timely manner?

Over the last 2 months, my 2 week paychecks have been late by as much as a week, Also, I have been told not to deposit my check until days later and, most recently, informed my paycheck bounced. I am a resident of another state.

Under the labor laws of all states in this country you are entitled to be paid when pay day is set and to have your checks clear. I suggest that you speak with your employer's human resources department about your concerns and if they are not satisfied, consult with a labor law attorney and/or a representative with your local department of labor about the problem you are writing about and decide what options you wish to take.
