There is no central repository or directory of things owned by or titled to (in the "name of") a person. You and/or your stepmother need to go through his papers (e.g. any files he had at home and/or in a safe deposit box). A good idea is to go though his bank statements and credit card receipts for large or repeating payments (like payments for a car or towards a mortgage), which will help you find larger assets he owned.
