How can I get township to cover a rental for me immediately?

How can I get township to cover a rental for me immediately?

A week ago I was driving straight on a road and out of nowhere a township made a left turn at the end of the road which is the road i was driving on and smashed right into the front of my car. He must have drove right through the stop because he came in pretty fast. Anyway, apparently the township doesn’t cover much and works strictly on reimbursements though they will pay for the damage done to my car once i get an estimate from a body shop. However my insurance doesn’t cover a rental for me to be reimbursed and I can’t afford to pay for a rental upfront and it’s causing me much trouble since I have no other way of getting to school. What should I do?
