How can I get my belongings back from my ex?

He is being difficult about giving my stuff back to me. Do I have any right to get it back?

If you were an unmarried couple, he needs to give you your belongings back; if he does not, you may sue him to recover them. If their total value is less than the limit for your small claims court, suing for the belongings value in small claims, acting as your own attorney or pro se, is a good option.
If you are maried but divorced, he must give you whatever the divorce decree or order says he must give you, and if he does not, you could file a motion in court to enforce the terms of the decree or order.
