Essentially, you have no rights: all employment is employment at will unless you were one of the lucky few (very few) who received a written employment contract (contracts are not required). Employment at will means you have no right in or two the job and can be terminated at any time, for any reason--even within a week and because they did not "like" you. The lack of paperwork does not change their right to you go whenever they wanted.
