I had an job interview today and discovered that there is a termination on my
record and I have never been fired from a job, I have always resigned. Is there
a way to pull my own employment history to find out who did it and go after them,
or is attached to my social security number and there is nothing I can do. I do
not want this effecting future careers. What should I do.

There is no central or government agency which keeps employment history. The prospective employer must have gotten the history from some private company which compiles or provides them, such as for background checks. Ask this interviewer where the history was obtained from, then contact them to correct the error. If they won't, you could potentially sue them for defamation: for making untrue statements of fact which damage your reputation.
