What to do if my employer wants me to resign due to medical reasons?

I am currently pregnant and on medical leave from work. I’m about to use all my time allowed for FMLA and my job wants me to resign due to medical reasons. My doctor will not release me to full duty and that is all my work will allow. Do not know if it a wise idea on my part.
