Does this make me or my sister obligated to pay this bill?

My mother has passed away and she was living in a nursing home. Where they have been sending a bill out to in her name to the estate of … She did not have any estate or money when she passed away. Does this make me or my sister obligated to pay this bill?

I am so sorry for your loss.  If you and your sister signed any financial documents for the nursing home making you bound to pay then you would be responsible.  But the way they are addressing the letter it does not sound as if you did.  Then no, you and your sister would not be financially responsible.  Good luck.
