Does every person in the household have to be named on the lease?

I rented a house but since signing the lease I’ve gotten married. Are my wife and 2 stepdaughters allowed to move in or do they have to be added to the original lease?

There is no legal requirment that all family or household members be named on the lease. However, the lease itself, which is a contract (and so can be enforced as a contract) may state that only the persons named on the lease may reside in the rental unit, or limit how many people may live in the unit. You have to check your lease to see what, if any, limitations are in it.
