Divorce with domestic abuse…

I currently just left my husband, who is a Danish citizen with a US green card. He
was physically violent. We also have a 2 yr old son. If I filed charges against him,
how will this affect his green card status?

It really depends on the outcome of that case, of course.  Just filing charges is not enough to affect his status.  However, if he is convicted of this it may have repercussions on his status.  If you are filing for divorce as well, be sure to discuss everything especially custody issues with your family law attorney.
