If I work Tuesday-Friday and my company has decided to close on a Monday as a nice gesture to employees. am I entitled to an additional day off since I already have Monday’s off?

Unless this action violates the terms of an employment contract or union agreement, you have no rights to get another day off. The fact is that a company can set the conditions of employment much as it sees fit (absent some form of actionable discrimination). So if your employer won't give you an additional day off, you must work your current schedule.
