Closing costs of purchaing a condo in Brooklyn NY

The closing cost doc received from the sponsor of the property indicates that the legal fees of sponsor’s attorneys in the amount of $2k will be payable by a purchaser. Is it common and negotiable?

Interesting.  Your best bet: contact the New York State Banking Department and inquire with that agency. Is this the settlement attorney? Or is this simply legal counsel solely for the seller?
