can my ex get married before I receive the final divorce papers from the Judge/court? in californ ia

divorce papers with the lawyer ended in nov 2015. dissolution of marriage from the Judge came in april 2016. my exsaid there is a clause that allowed him to get married in nov 2015. is that true?

He can get married once the  divorce is final--e.g. once the judge has signed off on the order or decree of divorce--even if that is before you actually receive the papers; the critical issue is when it is the divorce legal (approved by court), not when you get your copy of the papers.
