Can my ex-boyfriend have me arrested for accusations that I stole checks from him, when in fact he wrote those checks to me and had me cash them for the payroll to his employees?

He used me to get cash to avoid paying taxes and worker’s compensation insurance on many employees.

He may certainly make false statements and have you charged.  That does not mean you do not have a defense.   You should speak to an attorney regarding your matter.
