Can I work 6.5 hours without a lunch break?

I’m scheduled for 8 hours. My boss is flexible with lunch.: My schedule is 8:30-4:00. I can’t work until 4:00, so is it legal for me to leave at 3:00 for lunch and not come back?

Some states require meal and/or rest breaks be provided for employees. However, MI is not one of them. Accordingly, you have no right to leave work early, at least not without your employers's consent.
