Can I sue a company for causing damage to my house

A company hired another company to place fiber
optic in my backyard and broke the sewer line which
cost me thousands to have repaired

If the case is NOT settled with both companies, it would be advisable to file a lawsuit for negligence against the companies.  Negligence is the failure to exercise due care (that degree of care that a reasonable fiber optic installer would have exercised under the same or similar circumstances to prevent foreseeable harm).
