Can i move out of my apartment?
I moved into my current apartment in October
2014. This past year, my landlord failed to
send me a renewed lease. I have yet to sign
one. I would like to move into a new
apartment and am wondering what I am able to
do.

If you have not signed a renewal lease and the prior lease is up, then you are now a "month-to-month" tenant on an oral lease. That means you can move out on at least 30 days notice. Good practice would be to notice your landlord now (end of March), in writing sent some way you can prove receipt (such as certified mail or Fed Ex), that your last day will be April 30--that way, you leave cleanly at the end of a month and there's no issue about pro rated rent.
