Can I file a Chapter 7 without a lawyer?

The total fees for the initial filing of a bankruptcy petition in a US Bankruptcy Court is $335.  And yes, you can indeed file on your own, but you should really do some research about the pitfalls that can arise with doing so.  The complexity of your case really governs that issue.  Good luck.
