Can I be written up for missing a meeting?

I had a meeting scheduled for a Sunday, they had said that it would be a no call/no show if missed. I had audited that night and the meeting was scheduled for 7 hours after I had gotten off my shift. Can I really get written up for not attending a Sunday meeting 7 hours after I had gotten off the overnight?

Yes you can. That is unless you have protection under the terms of an employment contract or union agreement. The fact is that a company can set the conditions of the workplace much as it sees fit (absent some form of legally actionale discrimination). Bottom line, disciplinary action can be taken against you, up to and including suspension or even termination.
