Can an ex-employee be banned from their former place of work?

An employee was fired for sexual assault. Are they able to be banned from the

place of work restaurant?

Yes, an ex-employer, even if a restaurant, may do this. As a general rule, a business may decide receives its services. That having been said, there are ceetain exceptions, such as for places of public accomodation, which may not engage in any form of legally actionable discrimination. However, even places of public accomodation are permitted to bar people for non-discriminatory reasons, such as that a person was a former employee.
