Can a previous “landlord” representative accept packages on your behalf if you no longer reside at that location?

We moved out of the apartment complex which is very small and has no manager on site or office. When the fedex guy came to deliver he accepted the package that was clearly in our name whilst knowing we did not live at that location and told the fedex driver he was the office manager and would get the package to us.

From what you have written, there was nothing illegal per se for the employee of your former property manager to accept a package designated for you to be forwarded by him or her. However, I question why would want to accept that package if he or she knew that you no longer was residing at the particular apartment complex.
