Can a company put a lien on a home for a contract it had with the previous homeowner?

The previous home owner had a lawn service that came every 2 months. They keep servicing my lawn even though I’ve called to tell them that the previous home owner is gone and I do not want there service. They ignore my phone calls and keep servicing my lawn. They threatened to put a lien on my home even though I have no contract with them. Can I ignore them or should I take action?

Have an attorney write them a letter disputing their claim of a lien.  If they do file, you can have it removed.
