Can a bank kick us out without giving an evection notice?

We live in an apartment building and the landlord lost the building to the bank. It has been foreclosed on and we have not received an eviction notice. Someone from the bank told us that they can and will charge us with trespassing. If we don’t get out when they tell us to. We have not been giving a date or any kind of notice. Do they have to give us a written notice or can it be just a verbal one?
