Before you sign the contract(s), yes--they can keep proposing a different arrangement, but if you don't like what they are proposing, you don't have to sign and take the deal. Once you sign the contract, then no--they may *not* change the terms of the  deal without your consent or agreement, UNLESS there is something in the contract itself specifically giving them the right to make unilateral changes, and they do so in full compliance with that term.
