If my boyfriend and I are splitting and we live together, who gets what?
My boyfriend and I recently spit up. He owns the house we lived in and he is on the mortgage. I took a loan out for fence and deck installation. Does he owe me money for the full cost of the fence/deck installation?

No, he does not owe the money for the fence and deck, unless there was actually an agreement between you that it was a loan to him and he would repay it. (If there was such an agreement, you can enforce it in court, if necesssary, if not repaid as per the agreement's terms.) Otherwise, it would be seen as either a gift to him or as something you did for your own benefit (since if you live there, you used the fence and deck).
