Background Checks

A potential employer ran my background check for a possible job offer. I was then told that something came up that was now making them hesitant to offer. It wasn’t described over the phone what was in question. What are my rights for a time frame for them sending this to me so I can see for myself. I live in MI and the company running the background check is in CT.

You have no right to see the results of the background check: they requested the background check, they paid for it, and it "belongs" to them (even if it is about you), so to speak; they do not need to share it with you. You can however run your own background check on yourself to see what information comes up; you can contact the agencies/businesses which do background checks for information about how to do this.
