If I’m the beneficiary of my parents land and home, am I obligated to pay the taxes and insurance for last year?

robate opened after my parents death last year but the deed was not received until this month. The estate account is still open.

I am so sorry for your loss.  From what you have written, it sounds as if the estate is responsible for the taxes and insurance for the time that Probate was open. While this may be the technical answer, in reality the taxes and insurance have to be paid.  So contact the Executor about this asap. Good luck.
