If a co-worker is wrongly accusing me of damaging her car in the company parking lot, can I get fired for this?

A nurse is saying I damage her car because they have me on camera smoking a cigarette by

her car she call a police I was told when I was off and I think they are going to fire me can they do that I know I’m not on camera touching her car because I don’t even know what car she drives.

Most employment is what is known as "at will", which means that an employer can set the conditions of the workplace much as it sees fit. This includes who to fire, when and why. in fact, an at will employee can be terminated for the reason that you statre or for any reason or no reason at all. This is true unless the employee's treatment constitutes some for of legally actionable discrimination. Also, the employer's action cannnot breach the terms of company policy or any applicable employment contract or union agreement.
