Tennessee Tennessee's 95 counties each has a Chancery Court, most which have exclusive jurisdiction over probate. In a few counties, the Circuit Court has jurisdiction. Tennessee's legislature has also established 2 specialized probate courts, in Davidson and Shelby counties, which have jurisdiction over all probate matters.
