DUI / DWI Law Answers

I am a lawyer in CT and practice in this area of the law.  After you plead guilty there will likely be a sentencing date assigned.  You can try to get this extended as far out as you can; however, the court is not likely going to give you too much time.  I suggest that you try to get a date as far out as you can or dates that are convenient and let the judge know the dates sothat you can do your time and move on with your life.  You can also confirm this procedure by calling the clerk or state's attorney's office.
