If years ago my ex served me with divorce papers but neither of us showed up to court or signed any papers, are we still married?

Unless there has been an Order granting the divorce, you are still married.  If neither party appeared in court, most likely, the divorce action has been dismissed.  You should check with the court clerk's office to confirm.
