Question Details: I live in texas and work in housekeeping. Can I be fired from work for having to pickup my son from daycare because they are closing for the day?

Employment and Labor Law Answers

Probably.  Employment for most people is "at will," meaning that the employer does not need a reason to fire you.  They only have to avoid firing people for illegal reasons, and I don't think this situation fits any of those.
