You do not indicate what state you are in, but my guess is that except in special circumstances, no state is going to allow for workers' compensation benefits if you injure yourself in your own shower at your own residence while getting ready to go to work.  Generally speaking, the employee must be in the course of employment at the time of the injury. While the meaning of "course of employment" can often involve variations on the easy scenario, ie,  injured at work at the factory on the premises of the employer while assembling widgets, the situation you describe, on its face, does not appear to provide any leeway for interpretation.
