Work related suspension

Question Details: I was suspended for a week without pay and now they are telling me that I'm suspended but I still have to work the week without pay. Is this legal in Massachusetts?

An employer can suspend you without pay but it cannot force you to work and not pay you.  You should tell them you will work but will need to be paid.  If they don't agree, put it in writing.  If they retaliate against you for demanding to be paid, that it illegal also.  Please call if you want to discuss.  Bill Harrington, 617-426-7400
