With a lengthy criminal history, would an expungement allow me to go to college and pursue a career in a field such as nursing or psychology?

Question Details: I am now applying to several universities. Will an expungement hide my record from jobs and certifications that search with the FDLE? I am looking into nursing, teaching and psychology/counseling. I have several misdemeanor charges including cannabis possession, domestic violence and petty theft. I have felony charges including cocaine possessions, grand theft and robbery while wearing a mask. I have since changed my life. I am now an avid member of the church and I have earned my high school diploma. I am afraid that my dreams of one day being able to support my family will never come true.

Unfortunately, I don't think that you will have much success in expunging your record.

Here's a site that will explain further:  http://www.fdle.state.fl.us/content/getdoc/c83dd888-ef7a-448e-9a96-ba69fc4181f7/Seal-and-Expunge-Home.aspx
